
1. Connecting QuickBooks with Pike
- Go to Workspace settings -> Integrations -> QuickBooks
- Click on Add integration
- Follow the steps in the pop up to connect and authorise your QuickBooks account to Pike
2. Importing QuickBooks data to Pike
After connecting your QuickBooks account successfully, on the integration page in your Pike workspace settings, by pressing on Import data, you will be able to import and sync the following entities:Products
- Products are synchronized from QuickBooks to Pike.
- When synchronizing products, existing products in Pike get deactivated automatically.
- To view synced products in Pike go to Finance -> Settings and scroll all the way down. Here you can view what products are synced to QuickBooks by the tag, as well as when it was last updated. To trigger a manual update, press Refresh.
Customers
- Customers are synced from QuickBooks to Pike.
- When synchronizing customers, the following information gets imported into Pike:
- QuickBooks company display name as Pike customer name
- QuickBooks first name and last name as Pike primary contact first and last name
- QuickBooks email as Pike primary contact email
- Quikcbooks customer addres as Pike primary contact address
- To view synced customers in Pike go to Customers. Here you can view what customers are synced to QuickBooks by the tag, as well as when it was last updated. To trigger a manual update, go into the customer page and press Refresh.
Invoices
- Invoices are synced from QuickBooks to Pike, however creation of invoices can be done from Pike and sent to QuickBooks. Once sent and synced to QuickBooks changes can only be made from QuickBooks.
- Invoices imported from QuickBooks to Pike follow the below field matching:
- QuickBooks customer note becomes Pike invoice title
- Customer are synced automatically
- Product(s) are synced automatically
- Invoice date and due dates are synced automatically
- Tax rates from QuickBooks are imported automatically to Pike for each invoice
Bills
- Bills are synced from QuickBooks to Pike.
- The following information gets imported and displayed when importing bills from QuickBooks to Pike:
- Suppplier name
- Bill amount
- Bill line item(s) description
- Bill date
- If there are multiple line items on a QuickBooks bill, these will not show up individually, but the total amount will be correctly reflected and the description for each line item will be seperated by a comma.
3. Synced Entity Management
Once any entity (products, customers, invoices, or bills) has been synced or connected to QuickBooks, you will see:- A Refresh button to manually update the entity with the latest data from QuickBooks
- The last synced date and time displayed on the entity
Important Notes About Synced Entities
QuickBooks as Source of Truth: Once synced to QuickBooks, the following entities cannot be edited in Pike as QuickBooks serves as the source of truth:- Products: All product details must be updated in QuickBooks
- Invoices: All invoice changes must be made in QuickBooks
- Bills: Bill details must be updated in QuickBooks
